Soporte FTP, FTPS y proxy
Total Commander includes a built-in FTP client with encrypted FTP (FTPS) and HTTP proxy support. Connect to remote servers in a panel and transfer files with the same F5 copy workflow used locally.
Specify custom ports with a colon after the server name, for example ftp.example.com:2121. Standard ports: 21 for FTP, 80 for HTTP, 8080 for HTTP proxies, 1080 for SOCKS4/5.
Settings are stored in wcx_ftp.ini. Password manager stores FTP and plugin credentials. Resume works on downloads with overlap verification; upload resume has specific conditions documented in the FAQ.

Compare files and synchronize directories
Compare files by content with an integrated compare editor. Synchronize directories including empty folders. Duplicate file search across folders. Cursor in lister for in-place navigation.
Multi-rename, Quick View, thumbnails
The multi-rename tool applies patterns across hundreds of files. Version 11.58 adds placeholder [X+]: inserts clipboard text like [X] but returns an empty string when the clipboard has no text.
Quick View panel displays images and video without opening an external program. Thumbnails view and custom columns let you sort by attributes Explorer hides.
Configure button bar icons with negative numbers interpreted as resource IDs (new in 11.58).
Language, paths, and security options
Unicode and long names
Unicode names almost everywhere. Paths longer than 259 characters supported. Multiple language packs available.
Password manager
Stores passwords for FTP connections and packer plugins. v11.58 improves privacy for header-encrypted archives in tabs and logs.
History and favorites
Directory history buttons and favorites for paths you open repeatedly. Tabbed folders remember multiple locations per panel.

Optional daily DNS check for new versions via Help - Check for updates now. Does not install automatically.
